FEDERATION
Our federation was born in 1982, so it could be said that
is a very young institution. Handball is also a very young
sport in our country and in the whole region. Our activity
has growed very much in the last 10 years, specially in female
branch. The female national team has participated in 2 world
championships and is now classified for the third one.
In relation with female junior, we can tell you, we had in
the past only one participation in the World Championship
of Aracaju in 1995.
The junior team has won its participation
in Makedonija obtaining the second place in the Panamerican
Games of Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil ,in August 2002. It?s
a very young team with only 5 players born in 1983, but with
an important experience and a lot of international games.
Also the technicals Daniela Mata and Leonardo Punales, are
very young but with a great success in our country and in
Southamerica and Panamerica.
