History
| Female junior handball World championship has
been played thirteen times, since 1977 and the first World championship
in Romania. The only country that twice has been a host is France
(1983 and 1991), and championships so far have been played on
five continents - there have been seven in Europe, two in Asia
and Africa and one in North and South America. Five countries
were winners on the title World champion (SSSR, Russia, Romania,
Denmark and SFRof Yugoslavia), and total of 14 countries had
won one or more medals. Most successful is former Soviet Union
with seven titles in the role since 1979 until 1991, and on
the first W Cup he won the silver medal. The only country that
take part in all 13 championships is Denmark, and only twice
that did t participate are China and Japan, and they share the
second place on that list. On the last World championship 2001
that was played in Hungary, Russia won golden medal, silver
belong to the host, and the bronze was taken by Germans. |
