GEVGELIJA

The town of Gevgelija is located in the southern part of Republic of Macedonia, on the right-hand bank of the river Vardar. Many roads lead to Gevgelija, and the Bogorodica border crossing towards Greece is only 3 kilometers outside of the town. Skopje Airport is 150 kilometers away, and the one in Thessaloniki (Greece) is 70 kilometers away. The mild Mediterranean climate which is almost permanent throughout the year allows for development of tourism, which is particularly apparent in Negorci mineral spas. They have excellent accommodation and sports grounds available, suitable for simultaneous preparations of a number of teams. The closeness of the town of Dojran and the Dojran Lake allows preparation of sport teams. The town of Gevgelija is characterized by its cultural and artistic life, with numerous restaurants and tourist objects, a casino and night clubs which offer exciting entertainment.
